Dear Patient and Parents,

On Thursday May 13, the CDC updated guidance for unmasking of vaccinated persons in public settings.  On Saturday May 15, Michigan lifted the mask requirements for most indoor and outdoor settings for fully vaccinated residents.  The CDC guidance applies to non-healthcare settings only and does not change the masking policy here at Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontic Specialists of Michigan.  Under the new CDC guidance, even vaccinated individuals must cover their faces and physically distance when in health care settings.

We will continue to require masks, both in the office as well as in the building.  We will continue to use the parking lot as our waiting room and limit seats in the reception area.  We will continue to use the COVID screening process on our portal for all appointments as well as temperature checks at Triage.  (Triage is now located at the center of the front desk in the reception room.)

For everyone’s safety and protection, we strictly follow our personal protective equipment (PPE) guidelines.   We will appropriately wear our masks, practice social distancing, and maintain frequent hand hygiene while inside the building.

Please continue to be kind to our staff, as they are required to enforce the mask mandate put in place by our doctors. Thank you for understanding and helping us maintain a safe and healthy office environment, we will continue to update you as policies change.

Sincerely,

The Doctors at Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontic Specialists of Michigan
