What are Lightforce Braces?
Lightforce is a cosmetic, custom braces system that uses 3D printing to create customized appliances that fit your individual smile. These braces are truly one size fits one. A 3D in-office scan of the teeth allows our orthodontists to perform a virtual setup of the tooth position desired at the finish line. Then, our orthodontists design, size and place the braces on the 3D computer model to achieve the desired result.
When the braces are installed in the patient’s mouth, they are placed using indirect bonding trays. These custom trays hold the braces and deliver them to the teeth exactly where they were placed on the computer. This allows for very precise installation and proper execution of the orthodontic plan with fewer steps for the patient.

3D Printed Technology— Unlike conventional braces that use more generic brackets that are not unique from one patient to the next, Lightforce features custom, 3D designed, individually-printed brackets that fit your specific tooth shape and smile design. The conventional braces also work very well but the orthodontist has more wire bending to complete to achieve some of the tooth movements.
Aesthetics—Lightforce brackets are printed from high-quality ceramic materials that blend in with the natural color of your smile. This design makes them less noticeable during everyday conversations and personal encounters.
Enhanced Accuracy—Instead of having your brackets bonded by hand one tooth at a time, Lightforce uses a series of digitally fitted placement trays. Each one is loaded with your digitally printed orthodontic bracket for 100% accuracy and efficient installation. Since every bracket is individually fitted to the individual tooth, it allows us to virtually map out your tooth movement ahead of time. You can preview and approve the outcome of your smile’s alignment before the braces are ever installed.
