Dear Patients at Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontic Specialists of Michigan,

We understand and respect that you may be concerned about Coronavirus infection in public places…even at our state-of-the-art, sterilized office.

At Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontic Specialists of Michigan, we want to assure you that our office practices Universal Precautions, which includes adherence to rigid sterilization standards designed to reduce the likelihood of disease transmission.

As the coronavirus situation continues to evolve, our office will continue to monitor and follow the advice of the Center for Disease Control (CDC). As of this morning, there had been two cases of the novel Coronavirus infection identified in Michigan.

If you or your child have traveled outside the U.S. in the past 30 days, or if you have been in other “hot spots” in the U.S., please DO NOT come to the office without calling us first. We are following precautions set forth by the Macomb County Health Department and the CDC to try to limit the potential for exposure to the novel Coronavirus infection. Our receptionists will be asking about recent travel history before making appointments. If you have a scheduled appointment, but your child is developing a fever or respiratory symptoms, please call us before bringing your child to the appointment.

We are carefully monitoring this situation and will keep you updated with any new information or precautions. Our top priority is preserving the health and safety of our patients and staff.

Sincerely,

The Doctors at Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontic Specialists of Michigan
