Dear Patients and Parents,
Our thoughts are with all the people impacted by the COVID-19 coronavirus outbreak, especially those whose loved ones are fighting the illness. We recognize that this is a time filled with uncertainties for everyone and we want to assure you of our commitment to provide you with the services you depend on.
As you are probably aware, the numbers of positive cases in Macomb County are rapidly on the rise. We continue, as we have since re-opening, to strictly adhere to the guidelines set forth by the CDC as well as the ADA (American Dental Association). We are doing everything in our power to protect you, your children, and our staff members while here in our office.
As this pandemic continues, everyone has become weary of the constraints it places on our everyday lives. We do fully understand that this time is very trying for everyone. With that in mind we ask for your continued cooperation in making our office environment a safe one when you visit us.
The following policies are mandatory:
- Patient portal COVID screening 24 to 48 hours prior to appointment.
- Confirmation of the screening by a parent/guardian at the appointment time (this can be done by phone, but a parent must be reachable at the appointment time)
- Temperature checks at check in and masks worn by everyone over the age of 3
- 14 day wait if patient, parent, or another household member has been exposed or tested positive for COVID 19 (Please be aware that our office policies may not match those of other medical offices or the health department. As we work directly in the patient’s oral cavity/mouth, creating aerosols, we follow a stricter protocol)
