In celebration of National Orthodontic Health Month Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontic Specialists of Michigan is promoting complimentary orthodontic evaluations and 50% off of sealants throughout the month of October.

October is National Orthodontic Health Month! The American Association of Orthodontists uses the month of October to promote awareness of and celebrate the amazing value and demonstrable importance of orthodontic treatment. It also serves as a campaign to reinforce the benefits of good oral care appropriate food choices while undergoing orthodontic treatment.

To help celebrate National Orthodontic Health Month, we are offering both pediatric dental and orthodontic specials throughout the entire month of October:

NOHMpumpkin-small-CopyFree Orthodontic Evaluations

Orthodontic treatment is the most conservative form of dental intervention for a variety of problems including crooked, crowded, or spaced teeth, jaw size mismatch or irregular bite, abnormal wear of the teeth and gums related to position of teeth, and many more issues. The American Association of Orthodontists recommends for all children to be evaluated by an orthodontist by age 7 to screen for problems related to growth and development of the teeth, jaws, or facial bones. If your child hasn’t seen Dr. AJ or Dr. Ari yet, this may be the perfect opportunity. Our orthodontists focus on education and easy to understand explanations of growth, development, and orthodontic problems and solutions. We are certain you will enjoy meeting our orthodontic team and the individualized care they provide. And, this promotion isn’t limited to child patients as our orthodontic team absolutely loves seeing adults too and can provide amazing solutions using patient friendly Invisalign too! (Be sure to inquire about our “impressionless” treatment using our new video based iTero scanner!!)

50% Off Sealants

Sealants are a painless procedure where the biting surface of adult molars receive a protective seal layer to prevent cavity causing bacteria from entering the deep and hard to clean crevices of the teeth. Sealants have been shown to be one of the best methods for cavity prevention in areas that are difficult for children to brush. It is very common for pediatric dentists to use sealants on molars to help prevent cavities from forming. “Sealants are fast and easy to do. They are safe and extremely effective. They play a huge role in reducing cavity formation in our young patients,” said Dr. Mak.
